King Electric began as King and May Electric, a partnership between Jack King and Les May, in June of 1949. In 1964, Jack purchased the company and became the sole owner. The company name was changed to King Electric (Lethbridge) Ltd. and we still retain that name.

In 1976, Jack's son Brian joined the company and became president in 1988. Brian and his wife Ruth managed the firm until November of 2003.

In November of 2003, Todd and Vanessa McKay purchased the company and assumed the management of King Electric. Todd brings a wealth of experience to the company. The McKay's maintain King Electric's tradition of family ownership and reputation for quality and service.

King Electric is a member of BICSI, NECA, ECAA and ACA.
